About SACRA

SACRA is a non-profit organisation representing the clinical research industry in South Africa

What do we do?

• We provide a forum for information-sharing, networking and the exchange of ideas;

• We are an invaluable resource for information on industry-specific news, advances, issues, trends and regulations;

• We arrange informative quarterly meetings in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and bi-annual meetings in Bloemfontein,  with speakers from relevant industry sectors;

• We consider and act upon such matters as may be of concern to the members.

What are our objectives

• To stimulate and promote discussion and interaction between the members of the association in order to promote greater professionalism in the field of pharmaceutical, clinical, bio-ethical and other related research in South Africa;

• To establish and maintain contact between clinical research and other related research personnel employed in the pharmaceutical industry;

• To consider and act upon such professional matters as may be of concern to members of the association;

• To arrange informative meetings with speakers who are leaders in their field in order to promote the development of expertise in clinical research;

• To take such action as may be deemed necessary in matters affecting the legitimate interests of its members;

• To inform all members about new developments in industry.
