As communicated previously, SACRA is looking to motivate for site-facing personnel such as CRAs, auditors along with other similarly exposed research staff to be vaccinated through the Sisonke programme given the key role the industry plays in the development of life-saving therapies such as those under development for Covid-19.
To be considered, you need to follow the two-step process as indicated below:
Step 1: Register via the EVDS system https://vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za/#/ as Health Care Workers and correctly note if they are patient facing or not. You will need to show affiliation to one of the vaccination sites in their area. Please note your work address as normal under that section as well as other information such as contact details and professional licences, if applicable.
Step 2: Complete the following survey as well at the link: SACRA Vaccination Registration Link.
The information provided will be shared with the Sisonke team, after which you will be contacted for the next steps.
Please note your participation is voluntary and those eligible will get the link to join the Sisonke study. Once you have consented, you will then get a voucher number and appointment time. While there are no guarantees that this will indeed be successful, we’d encourage you all to participate.
NB: This needs to be completed by the 7th of May.
